The new owners are observant Jews who identify closely with the land of Israel and who own over 100 assisted living/nursing facilities for the elderly in the United States, and have vast experience in this field. The group has decided to invest in residences of this type in Israel. They intend to develop "Beit Tovei Ha'ir" so that it will become the first residence of a chain of assisted living facilities here, in Israel.
Beit Tovei Ha'ir was opened in 1993 by Mr. Arieh Paluch, o.b.m and his children as the realization of a dream to establish a high quality assisted living facility exclusively for the elderly Jewish observant population.
The founder of Beit Tovei Ha'ir, Rabbi Arieh Paluch, o.b.m. envisioned the realization of the prophecy of Zachariah (8:4, 8:5) "There shall yet old men and old women sit in the broad places of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age. And the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the broad places thereof".
This verse was set to music by one of the most popular Hassidic singers, Mordechai Ben David and was first sung at the inauguration of the Beit Tovei Ha'ir and eventually became one of biggest hits in Hassidic music.
Mr. Yossi Paluch, the son of Rabbi Paluch, realized the dream of his father, built Beit Tovei Ha'ir and was its director until its recent sell. Beit Tovei Ha'ir is the life's work of the Paluch family.
This is a seven story complex containing 220 assisted living units in various sizes. Over the years, Beit Tovei Ha'ir has become known throughout the Jewish world as a warm and loving assisted living facility. Hundreds of families have resided and will continue to reside here to this day.
The transfer of ownership to PAI Group will enable Beit Tovei Ha'ir to continue to develop and provide many other families the quality of life that they deserve.
